Miguel Angel Aranda was born in Valdepeñas, Spain, in 1976. His passion for music led him to study Acoustics at “Universidad Politécnica de Madrid” where he got his bachelor degree in telecommunications in the specialization of sound and video. Afterwards, he worked in Madrid for three years where he became interested in environmental acoustics, building acoustics and sound reinforcement with special emphasis in speech intelligibility. His wish of studying in depth these subjects took him to Aalborg University, Denmark, where he received his M.Sc.E.E. in signal processing with specialization in acoustics.


Miguel Angel Aranda joined the Acoustics Department as a research assistant in October 2004. Special interests apart from the aforementioned include noise control, hearing damage and the use of binaural technology in the assessment of human sound exposure.
